History of Brewing in New York
The fascinating history of beer is revealed in Beer Here: Brewing New York’s History, an exhibition that traces 350 years of the production and consumption of beer–from the establishment of the first tavern in the early 1640s to the micro-breweries of today. Along the way, learn how brewing was affected by cultural milestones such as the opening of the Erie Canal, prohibition and immigration.
The experience concludes with a Beer Hall serving local craft beers.
On view May 25- September 2, 2012.
