Fleet Week is here! Hello Sailor!!

Fleet Week is here! Hello Sailor!!

This is a fun time in NYC as the streets become flooded with Sailors, Marines & Coast Guardsman. Fleet Week runs from May 21^st – May 27^th and there are several events planned that you should familiarize yourself with at this link http://www.fleetweeknewyork.com/fleetweeknewyork/

One product that you can directly tie into Fleet Week that we sell is the Intrepid Museum.  Many of the ships that the sailors are staying in are docked near there and they will have special events going on all week. http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/FleetWeek2014.aspx

2013 Fleet Week has been cancelled.

2013 Fleet Week has been cancelled.

The official word from the Navy is as follows:

“Unfortunately, there will be no Navy ships in New York this year for Fleet Week and no additional Sailors or Marines. We look forward to the opportunity to participate in future Fleet Weeks and we greatly appreciate the city's patience and understanding during these unusual times. Thank you NYC for what you do for our service men and women each and every day. Hope to see you next year!”
